On Wednesday 22 January 2025, the What Works in SEND (WWiS) Programme ran a learning seminar for key decision makers in SEND systems across education, health and care. The seminar focused on sharing leadership for SEND system improvement.
The seminar consisted of:
- A presentation from Warwick Business School on Alternative Provision ( Research Fellow Penny Smith – Warwick Business school)
- A presentation on Inclusion of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in schools (Assistant Professor Sarah Gorin – Warwick Business School)
- A Case study on Developing Ordinarily Available Provision in Portsmouth (PEP and School Inclusion Manager Sarah Christopher – Portsmouth City Council)
