CDC has developed a new resource on what the transition to statutory Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) means for the SEND system. This resource gives an overview of Integrated Care Systems, brings together what we know will be required of them in relation to SEND from legislation and statutory guidance, and sets out what this means in practice for SEND delivery at different footprints. It also includes our new infographic.

The resource is intended for anyone who works across the SEND system, including strategic health roles, but it may be particularly useful for people working in local authorities or primary care networks, who will be affected by the transition but who have not been closely involved in their development. Please share it with your networks.

We will be developing further resources on Integrated Care Systems, including on SEND governance and accountability at different levels, so please do get in touch if you have any comments or intelligence you would like to share.
