What Works in SEND researchers at the University of Warwick conducted a literature review to summarise the knowledge and understanding of the academic literature on the models and processes of co-production used by Local Authorities and local government in the UK. The research was based on two questions.
- What are the co-production processes and models used in UK Local Authorities and local government?
- What can we learn from these processes and models about effective co-production?
The findings describe what we can learn from co-production processes and models about effective co-production. Seven lessons learned from practices and models are presented that may help to facilitate and guide effective co-production for SEND service improvement.
